I was named after my father, I have three older brothers, I'm the only girl. Sylvie was my dearest friend growing up and when we learned I could heal our fathers arraigned for us to marry so I would be under his father's protection

Now it seems to be just us, like magic dried up over the years. It might have, witches were certainly hunted enough to erase bloodlines and poor girls like Jeanne were burned for seeing visions

I was imprisoned and sentenced to burn at the stake for knowing CPR. They only backed off because I "prayed" for rain having future knowledge the drought would be ending around then.

I can't say for sure it's only us left, there's 7 billion people out there and I'm not so self-obsessed, but it does feel like it would be unheard of now
