Quick Summary
Doctor Ben Song, genius physicist, wanted to restart the Quantum Leap project started in 1995 by Dr. Sam Beckett. Unlike Sam, Ben had a specific mission, and like Sam, he was unable to return home.

"Leaping" is the process of going back in time and essentially possessing someone else's body. With the help of the super computer Ziggy, and a team member functioning as a hologram only Ben can see, Ben is given instructions to fix something that "went wrong" in order to leap again. Ben has been jumping for about a year now, from his point of view. It's been longer from the outside, time is relative, his life is very complicated.
